This is one of my favorite breakfast my dad cooked for my siblings and me on weekends. The french toast, mozzarella, and maple syrup are such a good combination that brings so many happy memories. Try this simple and delicious recepie!
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices of challah, brioche, or white bread
- 2-3 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 tbs butter – Maple syrup for serving

Directions
1. Beat the eggs
2. Make a cheese sandwich with the challah and the cheese (bread-cheese-bread).
3. Dip it in the egg mixture. Flip it over so that both sides are covered in egg.

4. Melt the butter in a pan on medium heat.
5. Place the sandwich on the pan and cook it until it starts to brown slightly and flip it over. Wait until your cheese starts melting to remove from the pan. If the cheese needs more time to melt, lower the heat to the minimum and cover the pan.

6. Serve with maple syrup. Enjoy!
*Note: If you want the bread to taste more like an actual French Toast add ½ teaspoon cinnamon, 2 tbs milk, and 1 tbsp sugar to the beaten eggs, then continue with step 2.
